An unlimited number of Attributes can be set on any stock item.
The most common Attribute application is Model Fitment eg: a 316-15 Front Sprocket could fit 5 different Models.
Attributes are arranged into Attribute Groups. With Fitment attributes we would normally set the Attribute Groups as the Make to make it more organised and easier to find.
For example if the Attribute Group was "HONDA" we could have Attributes for each Model eg:
We can then add all the models that fit each stock item as Attributes.
Note: If you want to have the ability to develop different search methods for Model-Year type attributes it is important that the Attributes are entered in exactly the same format eg: Base Model then a Dash (or any other character that is not used anywhere else in the Attribute) and then the full Year.
If you require a system that is more flexible than this, for example the ability to enter a year or model code, or the ability to see the difference between model variances then please see Instant Expert (or talk to Customer Services).
You can also have General Attributes such as:
Performance Part, Exchange Item, No Warranty
Or certain industries have specific Attributes. For example the Food Industry may have Attributes such as:
Gluton Free, Vegan, Contains Nuts, etc
To add Attributes to a stock item
Select Items / Stock and highlight the appropriate stock item. Select the Files / Attributes tab. To add a new attribute select the Add Attribute button, select a Group and then select an Attribute.
If the Attribute Group or Attribute does not exist
See Codes for certain pre-defined Codes that work in a similar way to Attributes
See Variants when referring to different stock items eg: an MB21 Helmet would come in 6 sizes all stored as different stock items
