You can put a sales transaction on ‘Hold’ at any time. For example you may be in the middle of a big sale and another customer just wants to buy a simple item.
To ‘Hold’ a transaction
•In the Sales screen select Hold
•Confirm a ‘Hold Comment’ to enable you to find it easily (default will be the customer name)
•You can then make other transactions (or even close and re-start the system)
To ‘Recall’ a ‘Held’ transaction
•In the Sales screen select the Recall
•On the ‘Recall’ screen select the Type of transaction you wish to Recall (Held Tran, Sales Order, Estimate, Job - You can set the default in Settings)
•Double-click the record you want to recall from the list, or highlight it and then select Ok
Tip 1 - If you change operator halfway through a transaction the original operator’s transaction will still be there when you go back to that operator
Tip 2 – If you want to transfer a transaction to another workstation, just put the transaction on ‘Hold’ and then ‘Recall’ on another workstation.
Tip 3 – If you want to print a held transaction it is best to convert it to an Estimate by selecting Finish, Estimate. You can change the Heading if you want to call it ‘Pro-Forma Invoice’ etc. You will then need to Recall from Estimates to bring it up again
