Sending a Mailing List

Previous topic Next topic JavaScript is required for the print function

Once the mailing list is completed you have several options on how the message should be sent.

Email - This is popular as it is Free. Only possible if the customer has an Email address set

SMS Message - This is very effective, but it does cost money and it should only be used if the message is relevant to the customer. Only possible if the customer has a Mobile phone number set.

Print - Normally the most expensive, but the only option if no Email or Mobile.

Because some contacts will not have mobile numbers and some will not have email addresses Evopos gives you the options to split how you are sending.

A common option is email the contacts with an email first (because they are free), then contacts SMS for contacts with a mobile number but not an email, and finally Print for contacts who have neither email or mobile.

Images

With Images you can either set to embed (larger email size), or to give a link to the image that is accessible over the Internet (smaller email size).

Emailing

When sending emails we have 4 choices for the Content:

Template - This is the most popular and flexible way to send content

HTML - This is if you already have an HTML file containing your content and do not want to copy to a template

Preset Postcard - This is a basic pre-set HTML page with manually entered details

Preset Graphic - This is a single image that can be embedded in the email

Template

Select 'Templates' on the Email Options

Confirm the 'From Email Address' you want to use.

Confirm the Template to use

Comfirm the 'Subject' the default is the one for the current Template.

Check the Preview option to ensure it looks ok, check the List you are sending it to and then select the 'Process' option to send.

HTML

This is if you already have an HTML file containing your content.

Alternatively you could copy and paste the HTML code into a Template

Preset Postcard

This is a basic pre-set  HTML page that can have a top Logo set, text on the Left and an Image on the right.

Note: Using Templates is normally easier, more flexible and it stores the content.

Preset Graphic

This is a single image that can be embedded in the email.

Set the Image and then select Setup to confirm details such as Web address, Phone number and Un-subscribe details.

Note: Using Templates is normally easier, more flexible and it stores the content.
