Types of Action

These are the current different Types of Action:

 

Kit-Item-Priced - This sells the individual items listed under the kit. By ticking the 'Include Original' you can add the kit items to the item selected. If 'Include Original' is un-ticked it will ignore the stock item it was initiated on. Common for Service Kits etc.

Kit-Kit-Priced - This sells the Kit part number with the price set on the kit. Make sure the 'Include Original' is ticked. The list of components are listed underneath. If there is no stock of the Kit stock item it will creates a stock adjustment of the component out and the kit in. If stock of Kit-Kit-Priced action is greater than 0, then it will just sell kit and show the components in the description. Common for Sprocket kits  etc where we do not want to show the individual prices.

Pick-1-Item - Shows a list of stock items (or Stock Messages) and the user can only select one. For example you could have: Warranty Select where the user could select: 3 Year Warranty for 150, 1 year Warranty for 75.00 or 3 Month Warranty for free. Mandatory to select one

Pick-Multi-Item - Shows a list of stock items (or Stock Messages) and the user can select Multiple Items (or none) - Can be used for Related items or a selection of items to add

Pick-1-Text - Shows a list of Text options that can be added to the description of the item being sold, and the user can only select one.  Mandatory to select one. The selected text is added to the Description on a new line. Can be used for compulsory condition setting on used parts, or How cooked on food items (Rare, Med, Well done).

Pick-Multi-Text - Shows a list of Text options that can be added to the description of the item being sold, and the user select Multiple options or none - EG: Condiments

General-Get Data - Prompt for Text. When you enter a part number with this action attached it will bring up a prompt to enter data and that data will be added to the Description on a new line. You can set Prompt Text to prompt the user what to enter. Can be used for entering or scanning Serial Numbers etc

General-Message - Popup Message. When you enter an Item with this action attached it will bring up a prompt with a Message. Used for sales prompts etc.

General-Reminder - Schedule reminders. When you enter a part number with this action attached it create an entry in the Scheduler to send one or more reminders to different people. Reminders can be SMS, Email or Internal Message. You can select the number of days before sending the Message(s). Can be used when selling a Unit, for example to send an SMS message in 7 days to the Salesperson to call and see how they are getting on with it, and email the service manager in 45 days to remind them to check it has been booked in for First service etc.

 

Notes on Kits

Making up a kit gives you the ability to bring up a group of items by just entering one number.

Kits are ideal for selling a combination of items such as a chain and sprocket kit, piston kits, service kits, spares packages etc. For example, a motorcycle kit could be a chain and sprocket set with an item number of CSSUTS125X comprising of exploded items such as chain (CH428H118DID), front sprocket (SF366-14) and rear sprocket (SR876-43).

Kits can be priced in two ways, Kit-priced – the system sells at the kit price but takes the components out of stock and displays the details on the invoice without prices. Item-priced – the system sells and display the components with their individual prices and does not show the kit item number at all.Actions are things that can be set to happen when you bring up an item on a sales transaction.
