Within Evopos, the term "Unit" is used to define an item which has it's own unique identifier. This identifier can be anything from a serial number to a frame number, an engine or registration number. These items are usually your most valuable stock items and are therefore handled slightly differently to other, standard parts in the system.

Here are a few common examples of what Units can represent:

Motorcycles

Cars

Bicycles

Speedboats

Cameras

Chainsaws

Games Consoles

Mobile Phones

PC's or Laptops

By defining an item as a Unit, you give yourself more control over the purchase, sale and repair of that item. A detailed service history is created by recording any workshop jobs performed on that Unit.
